Abzu from the Sumerian ab 'water' and zu 'far' was the name for fresh water from underground aquifers that was given a religious quality in Sumerian and Akkadian mythology. Lakes, springs, rivers, wells, and other sources of fresh water were thought to draw their water from the abzu. Water is a symbol of purification. In dreams it often symbolizes our emotions and unconscious minds - our connection to the universal. It's the deep well where all creativity emanates.
Emporium (medieval Latin from Greek emporos = 'merchant') is a term used for a store selling a wide variety of goods, and for marketplaces or trading centres in ancient cities.

Abzu Designs - Our jewelry is handcrafted by us from the finest materials: semi precious stones, art glass, Swarovski crystals, sterling silver, 14K gold, and copper. Our intent is to create one of a kind pieces that you will treasure for years.
Abzu Aromatics - We've been creating all natural bath products for our own use for years. Based on the urging of friends and family, we have expanded our business to include our soaps, body lotions, shampoo bars, and essential oil products. Our soaps and shampoo bars are hand crafted the old fashioned way using pure vegetable oils, water and lye. We use only pure essential oils for fragrance and all natural ingredients for coloring (e.g., tumeric, chlorophyll, etc.). Our proprietary scents are botanical blends that appeal to both genders. |
